About the Role
We are looking for a Nutrition Data Analyst to build and validate our food database, working remotely from India with the UK team.
Degree in nutrition, food science, or dietetics.
Familiarity with nutrient databases (McCance & Widdowson, USDA FoodData Central, IFCT).
Understanding of UK food labelling: 14 regulated allergens, traffic-light labels, Natasha's Law context.
Comfort with spreadsheets and structured data entry at scale.
Exposure to recipe analysis and portion/yield calculations.
Key Responsibilities
You will be the human accuracy layer behind our AI's food intelligence.
Map ingredients from restaurant recipes to canonical nutrient database entries with correct portion and cooking-yield logic.
Validate AI-generated allergen tags and nutrition estimates; correct errors and feed them back as training data.
Build gold-standard evaluation datasets with the ML team.
Research ambiguous ingredients — regional names, branded products, derivative allergens — and codify decisions.
Maintain the allergen taxonomy against UK regulatory requirements.
Support partner queries on labelling accuracy escalated by customer success.
Skills and Qualifications
The ideal candidate combines nutrition science with database-grade precision.
B.Sc/M.Sc in Nutrition, Food Science, or Dietetics.
1–3 years in nutrition analysis, food labelling, or food data work.
Meticulous attention to detail with documented decision-making.
Good written English for cross-team collaboration.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with UK/EU food labelling regulations.
Prior work with food-tech platforms or labelling software.
Familiarity with Indian and international cuisine ingredient landscapes.
Compensation & Benefits
Annual salary of ₹4,50,000–₹7,50,000 based on experience.
